How To Access Wi-Fi On Any SCCCD Campus (Students)

Chromebook Users

Please contact the Technology Support Service Help Desk on your campus for assistance with connecting to the SCWIFI student Wi-Fi network.

  • Clovis Community College – (559) 325-5294

  • Fresno City College – (559) 442-8206

  • Madera Community College – (559) 675-4879

  • Reedley College – (559) 494-3555

To access Wi-Fi on campus, select the SCWIFI network on your laptop or mobile device.

Identity

First, you will be prompted to enter your “Identity”.  Your identity is your 7-digit student ID number (only the number – not in email format).

Password

Next, you will be prompted to enter your password.  Your password is the same password you use to log into your student accounts like MyPortal, Canvas, WebAdvisor, and student email.  If you still have the default password, it is the first letter of your first name (upper case), the first letter of your last name (lower case) and your 6-digit birthdate.  If you have already changed your student password to a personal password, enter that personal password to log into the SCWIFI network.

CA Certificate

Next, you will be asked to select a CA Certificate.  Click “Select certificate”, and then select “Don’t validate”.  You may see a message that says, “No certificate specified.  Your connection won’t be private.”  This is normal.

Auto reconnect

Next, you will see the “Auto reconnect” option.  If you want to connect to the SCWIFI network automatically whenever you come on campus, make sure the circle is shifted to the right side of the slider.  If you do not want to reconnect automatically to SCWIFI, make sure the circle is shifted to the left side of the slider.  If you have Auto reconnect turned off, it just means you will have to select the SCWIFI network and log in every time you want to access the network on campus.

Connect

Finally, scroll down until you see the blue “Connect” button, and click it.  That should complete the login process and you should be connected to the SCWIFI network.
