How do I access WebAdvisor?

Accessing WebAdvisor Method #1 for new students, current students, returning students, and recent alumni 

The best way to access your WebAdvisor account is through MyPortal.  MyPortal is linked on every one of our college campus website Home pages.  

  1. Begin on your college campus Home page (Note: it does not matter which campus you choose – each will allow all SCCCD students to log in.) 

  2. Click the MyPortal 

  • Desktop and laptop users: The MyPortal link is located at the top right corner of the page 

  • Mobile device users: Click on the 3 horizontal lines at the top right corner of your screen.  From the menu page that appears, look under the Search bar and click the MyPortal link on the right side, just above the APPLY NOW 

  1. When the MyPortal page displays, click on either the blue “Sign In” button in the middle of the screen, or on the “Sign In” link at the top right corner of the screen. 

  2. A Microsoft Sign-in page will appear, prompting you to enter your Email, Phone, or Skype handle.  To proceed to the next screen, enter your 7-digit student ID number followed by @my.scccd.edu (example: 0123456@my.scccd.edu).  Then click the “Next” button. 

  3. A blue and white State Center Community College District login page should appear.  The default login information for students accessing MyPortal is as follows: 

  • Username: Your email / username from the Microsoft Sign-in page should already be posted in the Username box. 

  • Password: The default password is the first letter of your first name (upper case), the first letter of your last name (lower case), and your 6-digit birthdate (MMDDYY) 

  • NOTE: If your password has been changed or has expired, the password may be reset by using the “Change password” link at the bottom of the page.  If you do not know your current password, click the “Password reset” link at the bottom of the Change Password page.  If you are unable to change or reset your password, please call the Student Systems Support Call Center at (559) 499-6072 during normal business hours (8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday except holidays) for assistance. 

  1. Once your username and password have been entered, click the Sign in button. 

  2. The full MyPortal page should display. The link for WebAdvisor will be listed under the “My Favorite Apps” header. 

  • NOTE: Mobile device users may need to click the “My Favorite Apps” header to display the links. 

  1. The WebAdvisor link on MyPortal should take you directly to the WebAdvisor Main Menu page. From there, you will need to click the Log In link at the top right corner of the page, but it should not prompt you for any further login information.  You should be returned to the WebAdvisor Main Menu and have access to the full Student’s Menu. 

  • NOTE: If you are using a shared computer, we do NOT recommend choosing the “Keep me signed in” option!  Doing so will make your account accessible to any other people who use that computer or mobile device. 

Accessing WebAdvisor Method #2 for alumni who have not applied or attended since 2016 (or longer) 

  1. The WebAdvisor Main Menu page should appear. Click the “Log In” link at the top right corner of the page. 

  2. A Microsoft Sign-in page will appear, prompting you to enter your Email, Phone, or Skype handle.  To proceed to the next screen, enter your 7-digit student ID number followed by @my.scccd.edu (example: 0123456@my.scccd.edu).  Then click the “Next” button. 

  3. A blue and white State Center Community College District login page should appear.  The default login information for students accessing MyPortal is as follows:
