The best way to access your Student Email account is through MyPortal. MyPortal is linked on every one of our college campus website Home pages.

Begin on your college campus Home page (Note: it does not matter which campus you choose – each will allow all SCCCD students to log in.)

Click the MyPortal link on the right side of the page near the top.

When the MyPortal page displays, click on either the blue “Sign In” button in the middle of the screen, or on the “Sign In” link at the top right corner of the screen. If the link at the top right corner of the screen says your name, then you are already signed in.

A Microsoft Sign-in page should appear, prompting for an Email, Phone number, or Skype handle. To proceed, enter your 7-digit student ID number, followed by our student email domain “@my.scccd.edu” (example: 0123456@my.scccd.edu). Then click the “Next” button.

A blue and white State Center Community College District login page should appear. You should see places to enter your username and password, and a blue “Sign-in” button. Your email / username from the Microsoft Sign-in page should already be posted in the Username box. Enter your current student password. The default password is the first letter of your first name (upper case), the first letter of your last name (lower case), and your 6-digit birthdate (MMDDYY). Once your username and password are entered, click the Sign-in button.

The full MyPortal page should display. The link for Student Email will be listed under the “My Favorite Apps” header. Clicking the Student Email link should take you directly to your Inbox page with no further login information required. You may be asked if you want to stay signed in or not. If you have other Microsoft email accounts, or if other people share the computer you are using, click “No” to avoid giving others access to your student email account, or being connected to the wrong Outlook 365 account.

When you see your Student Email Inbox, you should also be able to access the other programs in Office 365 by clicking the square-shaped icon made up of 3 rows of 3 dots each, located near the top left corner of the page.
