Registered Class Not Listed on Canvas Dashboard
If you registered for a class during the early registration period, it should appear on your Canvas dashboard by the start date of the class. Instructors control when their classes become available on Canvas through a process called publishing. Usually a class is published 1 to 5 days before the class is set to begin. If the start date for the class has arrived and the class is not published, email or call your instructor and ask when the class will be published. Your instructor’s email address can be found by accessing your class schedule on the Register for Classes / View My Schedule page on the Self-Service Academics Menu. When you see your class schedule, click the course title link for the class. The Section Information page for the class appear, and the instructors contact information will be listed there.
Added Class Not Listed on Canvas Dashboard
If you added into the class with an add authorization code after the class has begun, it will not appear on your Canvas dashboard immediately. It can take anywhere from 2 to 24 hours for the class to appear on your Canvas dashboard and become accessible. If your newly added class does not appear on your Canvas dashboard 24 hours after you successfully added into it on WebAdvisor, contact the Student Systems Support Call Center between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, by calling (559) 499-6070, and report the issue. (Please note that the after-hours call center staff does not have the access level needed to investigate this issue.)
