Computers, Mobile Devices, and Browsers
To minimize any technical issues with your assignments and maximize your learning experience in your classes, you will need to start with a laptop computer, desktop computer, smart phone, or tablet that is running the most updated version of your preferred web browser – Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Apple Safari. You will also need to have the JavaScript plug-in enabled.
Internet Signal Strength
Most online classes will require data-intensive activities, such as uploading and downloading large files, and streaming large video files. Make sure you also have a strong, reliable internet connection when you do coursework and other activities on Canvas.
Questions
Your best source to find answers to questions about your assignments is always your instructor, and your instructor should have provided contact information and hours of availability in the course syllabus. This is especially true regarding assignments that require accessing other class-related websites through Canvas such as publisher sites.
Another great source of information to assist you with doing classwork on Canvas is the fantastic list of answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) compiled by the Canvas / Instructure Community found here – Canvas Student Guide - Assignments
If the FAQ list does not have the answer you’re looking for, and your instructor is not available, check to see if your class has a discussion board. One of your classmates may be able to help you with your question.
